Who's Comming to Sakura-Con

Post by Vlad G Pohnert » Tue Mar 07, 2006 2:21 pm

Considering that's comming up fast, who here is attending...

I'll be there and busy running a panel and 8 hours of AMV blocks! I'm also providing the Opening Ceremonies video if that does not kill me making it

I'll be there!! :D

I entered three videos! I hope at least one of them will get into the actual contest!

I wonder when we'll get to find out which videos are in the contest?

Cool! Just wait till you see the Openning Ceremonies video... I think the crowed should find it quite enjoyable (atleast I hope)

Oh as the showing is now back on friday I had to move the AMV Dinner back to friday night after the contest instead of the posible option of a saturday dinner/lunch

the reason being is that I am pretty much cleared for AMV Sytuff on Friday
but I may be in the office on saturday (as I am an Assistant Department Head)

You can check here for the possible places we can go (Will be putting a poll up soon)

Well, if the contest does end at 9:00 as they say, I might have to skip out on dinner as at 10:00 PM I run the first AMV block... ANd it'll have a one hour or so comedy segment!

thats why I am planning for a close walking distance resturant
also I am blocked for 3 hours but intend on running between 2 and 2 and a half
any longer and the contest might get boring, also the extra hour gives a larger buffer time for people to exit the room (Grey between the contest and the dance is for a change over)

I see that there's an AMV contest encore in Main Events ending 1/2 hour before the closing ceremonies. Do you know if they're going to clear the room before seating for the closing? Or will the people seated for the AMV showing be allowed to stay seated?
