Nice song/ anime combination, but I feel that you focused a little too much on each of the back stories and not enough on your overarching story. It became difficult to keep up with how each of the characters and back stories were related to each other and the overarching story of their dead friend disappearing. (score: 75)

The execution was fine and the text selection was appreciated, but in terms of the duration I thought this was going to be shorter. Felt kinda long

Audio and visual quality were perfect. It was also very good from the point of view of the editing: I liked the scenes choice, which did a great work for the understanding of the story. The parts with the characters over the white background were very well-made, and in general there was a nice work of the writings. The gaussian blurs were fairly well used, particularly those used as a frame in the memories. However, in the transitions they were annoying sometimes. A negative point were precisely the transitions. Very often there were a lot and too much fast, which gave to the video a bad rythm; maybe it could have been better with hard cuts or internal sync. Even the continuos zooms out were a bit annoying in some scenes. Anyway, it was a pretty nice video from all the points of view.

This was cute and really tugged on the heartstrings. Timing was spot-on, and I was easily able to follow the story you were telling without having seen the source. Perhaps a touch of over-sync on the piano, but not hugely so. One of my favorite videos of the whole competition.

I've never seen anohana, but this video gripped me in such a strong way. The raw emotion you captured. The loss, the regret. Even after multiple viewings I simply couldn't watch this video without tearing up. This was powerful.

Video #2

great song/ anime combination, and I really like your concept of the AMV being an actual picture book of memories. If you had some more time, I think that you could have improved some of the transitions and picture effects, but you still did a nice job at implementing them. (score: 88)

The editing is solid and there are a great scenes choice. I liked the idea of making the video like a photo album, and the realization has been very good for all the duration of the Amv. There aren't major defects, maybe just some zooms were a bit annoying and several crossfades were too fast. In general, the video flows well, it has a great atmosphere and it's also quite original. Nothing to say about the audio and video quality, they are excellent.

Also a very well-done video that really hit all the emotional high notes. I really liked the scrapbook framing all through the video. It was effective without being repetitive and rarely distracting. The timing was a tiny bit loose in a couple places, but that's more nitpicking than a complaint. Some of the incredibly quick crossfades could stand to be a couple frames longer or converted to straight cuts, though.

You've truly grown up. And think that this time the video moved in the same pace, which is something appreciated. Needed more impact though but it was fine

You did a spectacular job at capturing the essence of the series, and it's roller-coaster of emotions. Very well done.

Video #3

good song/ anime combination, and I like the simplicity of this video. I also feel that you did a really good job of editing this and maintaining the mood sync from scene to scene.

Not bad, but it felt like something was missing. You got the story related very well

Another well-done video, though this one had a few more issues than the others. There was a lot of noise in a lot of the darker shots; a bit of smoothing would have helped here a lot. Some of the timing was loose, other parts were much tighter, so the loose parts were a little bit distracting. Otherwise, it held the mood of the video very well throughout and was very enjoyable.

well executed, I could feel emotion in the flow of the video even if I couldn't exactly make out the exact plot.

It was quite interesting, the scenes choice was very good and the anime/song combination was well chosen, has made the atmosphere very well. Below the point of view of the editing it was neat, it hadn't particular defects and it was constant for all its duration. Maybe in some moments it needed scenes more dynamic, because it was too much static or the scenes were too much long.

Congrats Shin! This was a really intense round, and it was pretty hilarious how we all had sentimental songs for our first AMVs >.>

That tag team contest sounds very tempting too.....

He's already out of the Quickening so he won't be robbing the amv community of any more wins for a while. :P
