In Memory of the Critic, Free Opinions

Post by shinji13 » Sat May 12, 2007 3:53 am

This is the new thread "In Memory of the Critic", the old one has out of date information and is buried below so I decided to make a brand new thread. This is a free opinions page, I guess I am a cheap opinion whore.

My goals:

1. To remind everyone of KhalReblic23's great thread, which is located here.

2. To find video editors in need of opinions that will give them constructive feedback on what they need to improve on and possible guidelines on how to improve on those things.

3. In order to raise my total opinion count back to the number one position.

4. In the process of going back to the number one position also to raise my usefulness count up to atleast 1000 words.

5. In order to learn from your videos to help improve in the creation of my newest video that will hopefully become my first well made music video and to prove to everyone once again I am still committed, for real this time.

--Rules--

1. All videos may be submitted to this thread, but that does not mean they will get an opinion. I will not give an opinion on a video I don't think I can give any critique towards, or I don't feel I have anything worth typing about.

2. I would prefer not to watch Naruto, Dragonball Z, or Bleach videos. I will only watch these videos if they are well made and original, otherwise take them else where and drop me a line when you make a video for a less used anime.

3. I do accept hentai videos, but I would prefer they be well made, I have only seen one hentai video that actually was well made out of approximately ten I have seen in total.

4. No more than two videos per person unless I send you a private message stating otherwise, this is because I wont feel like giving opinions to someone who I really don't enjoy their productions. If I send you a message stating that you can submit more videos then it means I have enjoyed at least one of your previously entered videos and would like to see more.

5. I will not give an opinion on a video unless it is posted in here, this is because I hope this thread can be a great venue for well made videos, and I would like to let everyone know which videos I think are well worth watching, and to give public commentaries on each video. (I'll try not to embarrass anyone).

6. Do not get angry at me for the opinion I gave to you, if you dislike it keep it to yourself because after all you did ask for it didn't you? I also consider myself to be a fair critic, I wont give you a 1 on originality because you used an Evanescence song or had a clip of Goku in your video.

Heres what I think about the originality.
shinji13 wrote:This video did hold one form of originality, that originality was that it held true to the song and lets say "molded to its aura".

This is in response to the fact that you used Mindless Self Indulgence which has a very experimental musical rift to it not seen in other bands, and to bring that feeling out in a music-video effectively is quite a talent.

I do suggest people at least watch this video once, although re-viewability is not very high its well worth watching once.
