Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

How to troll a-m-v.org in 6 easy steps
- Create a generic, slightly amusing name with random numbers attached to the end
- Create a series of generic, slightly edited videos all using the same footage with random Japanese songs from your music folder
- Make as many mistakes as possible to irritate the forum regulars. This includes announcing in the wrong forum, adding as many gratuituous effects to the video as possible, linking directly to the local download, linking to yewtoob, and praising the quality of your video while casually mentioning how little time you spent on it and how many times you recompressed the file into various formats
- Mix up the formula a little each time to maintain interest and feign improvement; make one video without all the effects, a couple videos with a different series, a couple videos without Japanese songs, etc.
- PM Cornwiggle
- After each release, pretend you have seen the light and then release another video without any substantial changes or improvements

To you, it isn't, but a lot of people do this because they enjoy making amvs, and it's a serious hobby for them that they enjoy. :/kickass331 wrote: AMVs aren't that serious, besides, I think this one is better...

i think its more like they hate idea of taking the time and energy to try to explain things only for the person to not take their advice seriously or to ignore the advice all together.. O.o rather than being all that serious about amvs...kikai_saigono wrote:To you, it isn't, but a lot of people do this because they enjoy making amvs, and it's a serious hobby for them that they enjoy. :/kickass331 wrote: AMVs aren't that serious, besides, I think this one is better...
imo there is a balance between making amvs for fun and "doing things right" to make a good presentation, what he should do is probably find that balance

I have heard their advice, but still I do not know how I am not following it... Of course I'm going to ignore the advice to spend the next 3 months on a video, but I've tried syncing things and I guess I just can't do it.JaddziaDax wrote:i think its more like they hate idea of taking the time and energy to try to explain things only for the person to not take their advice seriously or to ignore the advice all together.. all you have to do to "sync" is to listen to the movement and sound in the music, and sync up the visual to those sounds...
like say when a cymbol crashes put an explosion there... when you hear a drumbeat, either change scene or put a specific movement on that scene...
never allow characters to sit there and babble on and on, its distracting... unless they are synced to the singer, it doesnt work.
