What the heck is OpenH323?

I hope this is in the right forum.

Anyway, I've been having some trouble with my computer lately and on one of the error reports it mentioned a problem caused by OpenH323.

I did some checking and couldn't figure out what it was, exactly. All I got was that audio and video was involved somehow.

What I'm wondering is what it's supposed to do in plain English, if I even need to have it, and if not how do I get rid of it.

Okay... so it's a phone thing.

I'm guessing I don't need it since I don't do any of that stuff, but how the heck did it get on my computer in the first place?
