Anime Mid Atlantic AMV Contest Submissions are now closed

Post by Gene Starwind 21122 » Tue May 01, 2007 11:06 am

Well this years contest is different. We are having Judges Awards and Audience Awards. Basically we have a group of 15 judges that will be watching the videos and rating on a 10 point scale in multiple categories. Then the top 6 or 7 rated videos in those categories get into the finals where the audience will vote. So the top rated video in that category will recieve a Judges Award.

Example.

Glory of Love (highest rating in romance) Wins Judges' Romance Award
Everything I do (most vote by audience) Wins Audience Romance Award

There are two Awards per category.

So in total we'll have 11 awards this year.

I wanted to make it as fair as possible for sometimes the good videos go un-noticed to the fan favorite.

Just a reminder if you are mailing out your submissions you may want to start sending them out today or tomorrow (Thursday). To allow 2-3 days for delivery. Unless you are going to overnight it to us.

You still have 6 days for the online/FTP submissions.

Keep them coming.

I'll be posting a list of the entries I have recieved so far tomorrow.

If you are submitting by mail you have to do a one day/ overnight delivery on them in order for them to be in our hands by tomorrow. The FTP/ other online options will be available for 4 more days.

Hey, Gene - I just posted my entry and the info document on the ftp. I tried to upload via yousendit but something went wrong so whatever you get from me via yousendit, please ignore it, thanks.

I won't be at the convention (unless by some miracle my office decides to send me there for some work related reason, can't afford it otherwise  ), maybe I'll make it out there next year ...
"Didn't I say something clever earlier?"
