where do you find

Post by Ravensoldier22 » Mon May 21, 2007 6:10 pm

anime retail stores
stores that sell anime dvd's and such

I've looked and found a few places, but have yet to find a store that specializes in them...

am I just blind, or do they not exist?

Almost all video places have anime.

Suncoast, Best Buy, Hastings...like...everywhere.

If you're having trouble finding specific Anime DVD's, there's always Amazon. They usually have pretty good deals there. If its a store you can visit that you're looking for I think Suncoast usually has a pretty nice collection at times, but maybe thats just where I live.

I have never seen a dedicated brick and mortar anime store, though this does not mean they do not exist however. For instant gratification, check the stores isted abaove, owever their selection is usally limited to recent releases. If you're still having trouble there are several online retailers (anime corner store, deep discount dvd, white elephant media, right stuf, etc.). Just make sure you're getting a Region 1 release (R1), not some second rate Hong Kong or Korean all region burn (R0)(its hard to tell on ebay). They are cheaper but the quality is relected in the price. In this case price does ensure quality.

You should check the official websites for those said stores to see if any of them are actually near you.

They seem to be very popular now, you can find them in stuff like HMV, I use all the gift certificates for that store on anime.

I had an anime remix store near my house by a mall once. It moved to Gwinnett though. :(

That's the only 'anime' store I've ever seen.

This is one of the two actual stores in Denver, CO. They're address is listed on the web site along with the products that they carry.
