A Mother's Lullaby -- An Inuyasha video
This wouldn't be Inu-fangirl Productions if I didn't upload an Inuyasha video at some point, right?
Izayoi gets so little attention in AMVs. Understandable, of course, considering how little we see of her. Still, it struck me as odd that no one's thought to tell the story of her relationship with Inuyasha, particularly since there's a song that's perfect for them.
That song is You'll Be In My Heart, from Tarzan. Anyone here who's seen the movie?
Well, in case you haven't, the song is Kala's lullaby to the young Tarzan. Kala being the female gorilla who adopts him.
Inuyasha is Izayoi's son by birth, but they are still as different as night and day, and had to deal with just as much prejudice as Kala and Tarzan (if not more).
Besides, after so much attempted-humor work, I thought it was time I try a serious video. Personally, I think it turned out rather well. Your opinion on the matter is completely welcome.
In fact, I'm all but begging for it. Please! Comment on my video! I want to know if you like it!

Was good imo
I thought it was pretty good.
I felt it showed the connection he has with her and where he gets his strength.
Also it was nice to see someone show him and his mother in that light.

Thanks.
I really could've done a better job, I think, but between glitches in WMM and problems with the encode... well, let's just say this is on the re-edit list.

Why couldn't you just work on it more THEN release it? Always "re-edits" with people who can't plan anything out and take their time...Brigid wrote:

Well, I thought I'd done the best I could with what I had, and I wanted input from other people. I mean, if I got generally good marks with little comment on what to do better or what I did wrong then I wouldn't bother with a re-edit.
Really, I did put a lot of time and effort into this piece. I had some trouble with the source footage, which made things rather interesting, and I just said, "What the heck, let's see if people like it."
I kinda figured that was the point of posting AMVs, besides providing entertainment to fellow fans.

that's a really interesting idea, i like =D
such a nice change from inu action crap, inu/kag crap, sango/miroku crap..and all that general other crap.
i'll admit it had a lot of technical problems that bothered me to some extent, but i really like the idea, and i agree that the song choice is perfeeecttttt =]
i didn't like how you re used some of the scenes though, specifically the little yasha with the ball, but yea limited footage i get it... its a nice try. if you could re-master that with better quality and some more sync, that'd be great =P

Not too bad, though there is plenty of room for improvement. Quality is obviously a big issue. And some of the problems with frames jumping around were probably caused by editing with Xvid or some other non-lossless codec, if that's what you did. Also, please don't put in shots from the the credits that have text across the screen (i.e. I didn't really need to know that Masashi Ikeda directed Inuyasha) because it's really distracting, and it's a bit unprofessional.
I really did like the concept though, and though I felt there was some randomness in footage, you did manage to build the mood to some extent.
