ANIME... not cartoon...

well of course it doesnt, but a CARTOON is an ANIMATED FEATURE as JAPANIMATION is.

anime are cartoons. get over it.

It doesn't matter what is what and what isn't what! Anime shouldn't be classified as or called Cartoons, and Cartoons shouldn't be classified as or called Anime.

"Cartoon" is not the American word for "Animation"!! "Animation" is the American word for "Animation"! Cartoons are a certain style of Animaton, and Anime is another style. I don't care if "Anime" is short for "Animation", because that just says what "Anime" means, NOT what Anime is! And I'm saying that Anime IS NOT Cartoon! (yes, that's suppose to be singular)

There's more to Japanimation than just Japan and Animation, which includes stuff that Cartoons do not have. They are not equal.

And of course, they are are things that Cartoons have that Anime doesn't. Which makes then even more not the same.

It's too bad the world has this language barrier. It always seems to be giving us problems and misunderstandings

Anyone read The Chrysalids? Pretty good book. You see, if we all had those psychic powers, and communicated with thought shapes, these problems about definitions would never happen. But, as long as we don't have psychic, we'll just have to bear with the misunderstandings.

I'm going to end with:

A Japanese car is to an Anerican car like a Japanese cartoon is to an American cartoon. They are basically the same thing.
