I like that. And here I thought it was because girls were more likely to give ops to friends and their friends were likely to be 'fellow' female editors. I didn't even think about the guys. o.O

You are, or at least were last time I looked, one of the active op givers. Honestly now, how many fans did you seem to get out of that? As far as I can tell most people who take advantage of the free op requests don't return the favor by looking at the opers videos. Hell, as I once proved most don't even read beyond the free op title so it's doubtful they even realize who they've asked much less will download a video. As far as the friends go, most are more inclined to download videos from someone they know and that's just as true of males as females.

Ah, but that's you, Requiette, Minion, and Cornwiggle. If you count four guys as a sign of 'male presence' you have to count those four overly active girls as a sign of 'female presence'. Right?

Generalizations are fun. Give me a female member of the org who can flame as well as any of the guys here and I'll toss my gender generalizations out the window. Girls are way too nicey nice. ;p

Ileia. She doesn't flame but from what I've seen she's more than capable of holding her own against the guys if she was inclined to do so.

They did when I first started giving ops. That's how I got my first feedback - unrequested return ops for free ops given. I never got a single op until I started giving them out to every video I liked. I got them from a lot more guys than I did girls back then (shocking considering the type of videos I make). I haven't seen much of that in the last two years, though.

...and I haven't been counting myself as one of the 'girls' in this entire generalization thing. I think the last time I was really 'active' was 2004 to 2005. ^^;

I've intentionally stayed away from the thread because I completely screw up any attempt at a "boys vs. girls" argument, and most people know it. I do appreciate being included on that side of the aisle though.

I could certainly present my point of view if others are interested, however.
