I think a reason it has such a fan base is that it appeals to people who are beginning to watch anime, it had a bit of everything; drama, action, comedy, some pretty awesome bgm.
Its a good series but there are definately better things out there to watch
i do regret that my name has.....*cough*...narutard all over it. but I do like the series yes, but not really shippuden.

Come to think of it i've never actually seen much of naruto, only bits and pieces on cartoon network. Personally, its not really my thing.
But the thing about n00bs and naruto is its pretty much the same thing with DBZ and even evangelion. How many of us here first got into anime with eva? I did, but i've seen a lot more anime since then to say that while eva is one i like, there's a lot of others that top my list more. I'm pretty sure i'm not the only anime fan thats gotten into it that way, whether it be through eva or DBZ or possibly earlier stuff.
The same kinda thing is happening with shows like naruto and Bleach (which i've haven't seen yet, but plan to ) While having lots of naruto and bleach amv's (i would say FMA too, but i'm working on a FMA vid at the moment, so i can't really point the finger in that aspect ) can get a bit annoying, give it some time, and i'm sure the naruto fans will discover other anime series that will kick their naruto obsession right out the window. And then they'll be the ones on this forum bitching about all the n00bs making amv's for the next big mainstream anime title.
'sides, at least theres been a drop in the amount of DBZ amv's.

When this series was first being Subbed, I lost interest in it after the plot started to look like another DBZ structure:Falconone wrote:I dont hate naruto but i also dont like it ... i dont know why.
12 minutes of reviewing followed by 4 minutes of new stuff and then followed by 9 minutes of the stuff that would be reviewed on the next episode -- Boring it may not be that bad of series, yet I quit watching it after episode 3.
