I wouldn't personally go out with Anime characters, imaginary or otherwise; but I did see a Japanese woman at a ComicCon dressed as Misato Katsuragi once from Evangelion, I thought see looked pretty cool.

I had the chance to do improv with Amanda Winn Lee once and I met Sue Ulu, who does the English dub of Ritsuko in A.D.V's Eva dub back in 95'. I thought she looked pretty hot back then. Then I moved and my movers forgot to pack my autographed actor's picture of her and the other chick. I was pretty annoyed but then again its just a framed picture. Set me back about 7 bucks.
