Help me!

Um sorry I'm so new at this,
I just made a Death Note AMV not to long ago
the feedback I have on it is good except one major problem

when I post it up on YouTube and play it on Windows Media Player, half the screen in green.

yes we know the intro is verty n00bish for i made a music pause and such
but can someone help me just in case this happends on my next AMV

i think you want the general video help forum a mod will more than likely move this though so dont make a new topic

also it helps if you describe what you are using for source, what you are compressing with what programs you use and the steps you went through to make the video

sorry

im using Windows Movie Maker
and downloaded ep. and torrents of Death Note 1-14

and im also using the same program (window movie maker) to actually cut parts out form the full eps.

steps:
1. I uploaded both mosuic and eps. i used for the AMV onto the program
2. put the mosic and intro i wanted onto the timeline
3. started cutting partas out of the eps.
4. syncs them and added effects
5. published it and with that came with the "green screen" error

well.....thats money out of my pocket...but the bright side is i can watch death note on tv insted of youtube and shit
(note: I know youtube does not have death note...trust me I've checked)

and plus..i might get banned

click the banner it gives you all the reasons those codecs will screw up on you... one thing you can do is to recompress it into a lossless... and start over O.o

truth is that when you use downloaded footage lots of things can and will go wrong because you dont have any controll over the original compression, which is why you might see this banner floating around alot (it links to a very informative and technical page but its good information for people to know)

i have a feeling that no matter how it goes you are going to have to "re-do" it... if you want to see the idea realized without the green blocks

unless anyone else has any better suggestions, you can hold off for a bit and see if someone out there has anything else to say
