I just finished the two videos. Great job. I love the simplicity of the Trigun video, and Smoke flows really nicely.
Great work, guys.

- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

...Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to blow off your points about videos becoming more and more effects ladden. They defiantely are. Well, some of them. But, there were always "bad" videos. Too many effects is just a symptom. There ARE still very good videos being made, but I really don't think that it's a race to just get faster and have more and more impressive effects. Yes, many people ARE doing that, but they usually don't make good videos! I heard that most of the videos at AWA were more "old school" and less effects heavy. This sounds like a good thing. People are saying, "Hey, all this flash doesn't actually work!" And now that there are web sites like this one, ideas get exchanged VERY quickly, so copying is a lot more likely.
We'll just have to wait and see. Effects don't make a video, but they don't necessarily kill one, either. Look at your favourite vids and ask yourself how many of them have a lot of effects. Most of mine have few or none, but there are the exceptions (Tainted Donuts, Shameless Rock).
Peace out, and sorry for ignoring your valid (if extreme) point.
