- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

First AMV: Shana and Yuji - Eternal Flame
This is my very first AMV, it's using Shakugan no Shana and set to "Eternal Flame" by The Bangles. Please let me know if it's any good!

Yeah I know what you mean, unfortunately I had trouble finding unsubbed eps for the series. I tried to make them work with the vid as best I could though.post-it wrote:.. no sub-titles on your next one please ^_^
Oh? I didn't know you could regulate that, thanks!post-it wrote:I haven't seen this series yet I like the presentation as an introduction to it ^_^
.. one more thought, if you will... most people watch these AMV's in Full-Screen Mode -- watch which settings you use per your video's size ^_~

at least Netflix (or other rental source) it if you can't afford to buy it, better than nothing ;p

Yeah I realize that, but I don't really have the money for it right now. I am planning on getting it at some point since I'm curious about the dub though.Bakadeshi wrote:The Real Nemo wrote:Yeah I know what you mean, unfortunately I had trouble finding unsubbed eps for the series.post-it wrote:.. no sub-titles on your next one please ^_^

Hm? How does that work? Don't you have to pay a fee for things like that? It doesn't seem worthwhile to pay to rent a series I've already seen just for this, there were at least some places where I thought the subs actually added to the effect of the video.Bakadeshi wrote:at least Netflix (or other rental source) it if you can't afford to buy it, better than nothing ;p
If and when I do make another vid though it'll probably be for an anime I already have the DVDs for so I won't run into this problem, in this case I'd just finished the series and wanted to try it right away while I had the inspiration and it was still fresh in my mind.

well yea, netflix is only cost effective if your gonna use it for renting other titles also (since its a monthly fee not by the DVD) , it wouldn't make sense to sign up just for a single amv project. If you want to try it though, I do recommend netflix over rentanime tho, since netflix is much faster, usually getting DVDs the next day (since they have alot of distribution centers around the globe), have a large collection of anime, I've found just about every title released here that i've wanted so far, and you can rent live action aswell. The Real Nemo wrote: Hm? subs never add to the effect of the video...
if you don't wanna pay a monthly fee there is always blockbuster or something.. just pay for what you rent
oh and if you wanna be utterly cheap, the very least you can do is at least...

and definitely no excuses on that, you don't need to pay for anything. ^_^
