What I do is just go to Stage6 a few days after the release, search Death Note, and keep looking until I find the episode I want. There's always at least one person who has put it up. Recently, the only sub group I've seen doing it is KuroHana.
I apologize if my information is out of date, but I am told that the first two episodes are available for download in English for a pretty high price. The first English Death Note DVD is expected for release in the late Fall or early Winter of this year, and yes, it will have the option of original Japanese audio with subtitles.

KuroHana received a C&D order from Viz and dropped the project. The pay-to-download episodes are hosted on Viz's website until the DVDs are released.
Stage6? That's just as bad as Yuutube.

Well, another group picked it up for the last two episodes, a [C&D]. Their subbing is extremely similar to Kuro-Hana's. Plus, look at the fansub credits in the OP. Hahah

The ending, as predicted, was a disappointment, but introduce a twist that would have made it eventful at this point would probably have just left the ending inconclusive. Overall though probably one of the better ones I've seen recently.

It should have ended when L died. I didn't watch the whole anime yet (finals week) but that's the impression I got from the manga. The ending sucked and crapped all over the character traits of both kira and the glasses guy whose name escapes me at this time.Orwell wrote:The ending, as predicted, was a disappointment, but introduce a twist that would have made it eventful at this point would probably have just left the ending inconclusive. If it were to end after L, then I'd like to see a shift of focus from him becoming god, a life with a human god and his ultimate demise. In fact, I rather wish they had gone that route anyhow, L and yagami were too young for my tastes, and Near. At his age? Please.Gepetto wrote:It should have ended when L died. Re: Death Note English Dub
What the hell did they do to Kira's voice! This makes me very angry. See my angry face:Ishbalan wrote:I have news.
Whether this is good news or bad news is up to you.
Death Note has been licensed for America.
And a trailer has been released.

I absolutely dispise the voices they chose.
This realizes one of my worst fears.
Like so many excelent animes, Death Note has been ruined upon coming to America.
The ending was ,meh, for me. I've seen better, I've seen worse.
