I've had a go at it with Nova Extractor, but the only promising thing I can find is a very large (1.8GB) swf file.
The other stuff I've found is a .ogm that doesn't work, a .riff, a .3ds and a .form.
Does anyone know how to turn this into a filetype I can deal with? This is the PAL version of FFXII so ffxiimov doesn't work.

The movies in FFXII2MOV are all hidden same with Kingdom Hearts 1, Final Fantasy X and Dirge of Cerberus.
The only way to extract the movies is either by using a hex editor or capturing it using a capture card.
Hex editing the videos out of the disc is not the hard part. Converting it (demuxing) is the most tricking part.

Okay the most simple way of getting your version of the disc is playing the game on PCSX2 and note the begginning and ending offsets of the fmv and insert it into FFXii2movstarseekergem wrote:I can't use FFXIImov and wouldn't know a hex editor if it hit me in the face.
Can you explain how I would use one?

^^ffxdean just told you how you can modify ffxii2mov to rip the games fmvs for you. The problem is, the directions aren't very detailed at all for someone who doesn't know the first thing about using a ps2 emulator or a hex editor.
you'll have to go into way more detail then that ffxdean. Just a heads up.ffxdean wrote:Okay the most simple way of getting your version of the disc is playing the game on PCSX2 and note the begginning and ending offsets of the fmv and insert it into FFXii2movstarseekergem wrote:I can't use FFXIImov and wouldn't know a hex editor if it hit me in the face.
