Good Manga's?
O.K. here's the deal. I live in a rural part of NC and I was hoping yall could help me out. I'd like to find a new manga to read, but to be honest I don't really know many that would strike my interest. I really like Death Note and a friend of mine from skool gave me Samuria X and I loved it. Plus I like the classics like InuYasha and the like. So if you now of any like these PLEASE POST!!!! Thanx!

I recommend you read Monster It's got suspense, intrigue, and a killer who makes Light look like a pansy. If you liked Death Note, trust me, this is a must read.
If you're looking for a more action heavy series, then I'd suggest Trigun and Trigun Maximum, if you've seen the T.V. show, the manga blows that out of the water. And the two are different enough that knowlege of one won't ruin the other.
I also suggest you try out King of Bandits Jing and the sequel King of Bandits Jing: Twilight Tales. Not so much action heavy, but the series m, you ouldakes for an amazing adventure manga, with completely new worlds and wonders few other manga can compare to. If you do try this, keep this in mind, the artwork really improves through out the first 4 or five books, and by book 6 of the original, Kumakura has really hit his stride, so the artwork is nothing short of amazing.

King of Hell is very good and the main character is different in many ways. Book 15 came out a little bit ago.
Her Majesty's Dog is funny, and looks like a cross between Inuyasha, FY and Bastard!! I think they're up to book 6.
Hell's Angels has some of the strangest drawing I've seen in a while, and some very strange plot twists.
Sensual Phrase and Virgin Crisis [Akuma na Eros] are both by the same author, but the latter is kind of like a cheesy romance novel that you feel guilty about loving. Not sure of the numbering on these.
Goth is nice, dark and short.
Anne Freaks is almost like... I cannot say without giving it away, but is very dark, and good! Only 4 volumes!
Tarot Cafe .. such great artwork and has both short and long plotlines that end at various times. Up to #5 is out.
Rebirth is really good, but gets mired down a little bit around the time you learn of the anti-hero's entire past. After that, it just gets better and better. #21 (I think) is coming out in January.

Now, don't feel bad. It's not you, it's me. I Don't Like You. -.-

Yep. And if you like Monster and Death Note, I suggest 20th Century Boys (by Naoki Urasawa, same as Monster), which kicks things up yet another notch and is possibly the greatest manga in existence. It doesn't have an anime adaptation (yet) unlike Monster.Malificus wrote:I recommend you read Monster It's got suspense, intrigue, and a killer who makes Light look like a pansy. The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
