At this point I feel like making these clarification posts is a public service.
Funky-kun wrote:4. It is preferred that every AMV has a name, which appears at the beginning - white letters on black screen, standart font, or something like it.
So you're not going to be making your own standardized title cards for the videos?
Funky-kun wrote:10. Minimal frame rate - 23.938 . Maximal frame rate - unlimited.
/me waits for somebody to send in a 60fps MAD.
Funky-kun wrote:11. Entries must be in the following preferences:

video format: avi / mpeg / mp4
video codecs: DivX/XviD/MPEG-1/h264
What, no MPEG-2? :(
Funky-kun wrote:audio codecs: Microsoft WAV Uncompresed/MPEG Layer-3/IMA ADPCM
I'm kind of surprised that you're accepting:
1) MPEG-1 files, but no MPEG-1 Layer II audio
2) MP4 files, but no AAC audio
Funky-kun wrote:maximal size: 100mb
I really hope they'll still look good on the big screen...
Funky-kun wrote:14. Only videos that were created after January 15th will be accepted.
Of what year? (Hey, it's a perfectly valid question.)

I wouldn't count on THOSE coordinators to do anything of the sort  Too much trouble( like... 5 minutes )

Noone really thought about those. I was wondering the same thing actually. Especially about AAC.

It will look like crap regardless of size and actual video quality  The "Big Screen" may be big but forget about sharp focus and contrast
That's also pretty much the reason I wonder about some of the other quality-related rules. It will look and sound average at best in any case. Especially the minimum 480 vertical resolution.... WTF
