GIMP Help

Post by Kumatora » Mon Jul 09, 2007 4:57 pm

I'm trying to get this pic
Image

with only his bell-shaped head to be present. I had already set anchors and everything. When I saved the image, I had a white background as well. Also, how do you resize the bell err.... I mean head?

i'm really confused.

If you set anchors and saved the image with a white background, why do you still show us the image above?

if you want to resize your image go to image > resize... and type in the pixel size you want. If you set bicubic, you can get some very high quality resize upscale.

I assume you want this as a... still for the beginning of your amv? like "STAR FOX PRODUCTIONS" and you want his head? cuz that would be pretty cool

just restate your question and I'll help *loves the gimp*

Let me get the image I have now. I made it before asking this question.
Image
This is just a JPEG version of the PSD file. As for what it's being used for, it's for a little Dschinghis Khan video I might or might not do.

Although, I may do a Bear-Tiger Productions thing but I might have to get permission from a guy on Deviant Art.

OH

I think you're having this problem: You want to get rid of the white background and save as a .png, that conserves transparency, and you can import that into a video editing software.

Alternatively, you can also import with the white background and chroma key that out

But, I think the problem your having is that you can't delete the background layer? Well, first hit CTRL+L to open up your layers dialogue, and select the white background. Go to layers> transparency > add alpha channel. Then, CTRL+A and hit "delete". That should make the background layer transparent.

Oh wait, you can just delete the background layer too :P

I still have no idea where your problem is. If you see the "checkerboards" in the gimp, that means that your have transparency. Save as a .png and import to editor to preserve that.
