To Exist ~ Naruto (Hak/Zab)

Post by AyeSaid » Fri Jul 13, 2007 10:51 pm

This is my first time posting an amv and would really enjoy feedback.

I have no idea why I did a Haku and Zabuza amv... to fill the void that I cannot complete a certain amv due to bouncy footage when opened in premier (any suggestions on that?).

I always try to do a new take on things and use the lesser used clips whenever possible (which usually it is).

Please give it a watch!

I centred on the fact that Haku and Zabuza existed and died without using a sappy song. I did not focus on Kakashi killing Haku or his battle with Zabuza. I did not focus on Haku's ability with ice and how great he is with it (love Haku) or his battle with Sasuke or even the fact that Haku had a kind heart.

This amv was created solely to show that Haku AND Zabuza existed. As Ninja.

Thanks for reading and hopefully watching! Greatly appreciated!

next time convert it to mp4 not wmv. mp4s are small and dont take to much from the quality. if you cant convert to mp4 for some wierd at least export it from premeir as an avi. if you do decide to make an avi or mp4 version please request to reuplode

ill check the video out later when im on my brothers computer

Wow actually not bad at all. My only few suggestions are:
-Improve video quality just a bit
-Smoothen your effects up a tad. Maybe feather your keying more if you're going to use it as a transition like that.
-Use a different file format. When people see WMV they'll assume you just lied about using Premiere and figure you just did this one Windows Movie Maker. Especially because that seems like something about 99% of the Naruto fanbase would do.

3.75/5

Give this one a look people! Didn't feel like your typical Naruto video at all.

I am not a big fan of the effects and transitions you used. video was ok I think it could have been better without the effects. but it was good for a first video(well your fist video being released)

I loved it. It was emotionally evocative, and I think even someone outside of the Naruto fandom would be moved by it. I've watched it several times.

Convert it to whatever you want. Don't let people push .mp4 on you.

Im telling him so that his video can look better and possibly smaller. The smaller size the video the more bandwith you save.

mp4 is more of a turn on then wmv.

There seem to be people opposed to both. But less are opposed to mp4 than to WMV. A lot of people won't download a video if they see that it's WMV, because they assume that it was made in Windows Movie Maker, which to many means that the video won't be good. Not always the case, but it's a common assumption.

And then, many people won't download an mp4 because
1. Their system can't handle it. (somewhat rare)
2. They don't know how to play it in the first place
3. They just don't want to. (Otherwise known as senseless boycott)
Though, the second is becoming less and less commonplace. With more people using mp4's, more people are learning how to play them. I haven't gotten an "I only got audio" comment in months.

So, either route that you go, you're going to get people that can't/won't watch your video because of the method of compression you chose. But it doesn't hurt to try them and see which you're comfortable with. The new AMVapp and how-to guides make things pretty simple.

Fixed...

Use Super(c) or (less recommended) mediacoder... Free and 10 times better than that outdated crap...

I may suck at AMVs but not at encoding ;)
