Romeo x Juliet

I think Romeo and Juliet both were operating on the "let's find a way we can get away and live, then consider the rest". Juliet did think about her past at some points in ep 11 and said something along the lines of "someday". I mean, really, it's probably the right approach, and let's not forget they're both appropriately young and naive, thinking that everything will turn out fine. Their rashness and tendency to get carried away by their emotions is certainly Shakespearean!
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

The water did seem a bit corny to me... I mean... it looked like it all came flowing out of a set of higher-story windows?
Regardless, still a cool episode.

I'll be honest here, this anime fell apart for me after the red whirlwind arc. I liked it at first because it showed Juliet as a heroine, completely subversive to the traditional perceptions of feminity, yet after that identity was taken away we see her becoming more and more submissive to these gender roles with her interactions with Romeo and she has lost that strong will appeal which I initially saw in her character (wtf @ declaring her name to the soldiers when there is no benefit or it would change little but add more problems). But hey I guess this is based on Shakespeare not George Bernard Shaw =| Anyway I hope the mining episodes don't last for long, I'd rather see more character buildups for Mercutio and Tybalt. The mining was unnecessary to me, because we knew what would happen and that Romeo would find the situation unacceptable and try to intervene, because that isn't something overly unique. I hope towards the end the character of Juliet will redeem herself.
