Do this kind of anime exist?

Post by blink_sora » Thu Jul 26, 2007 7:32 pm

Okay, I'm just searching for some animes cause I've got some ideas and want to know if I should just delete them from my head or keep'em.. I'm always starting an idea with the song so I just need the animes. Anyway, let's get it straight: I need animes with cars (races) -> 1, animes with dances -> 2, the most mysterious anime you've ever seen -> 3, the most peaceful/mysterious anime with angels you've ever seen and an anime with an ocean or a girl with blue eyes which are shown frequently on the screen. I don't really believe such animes exist but it's worth trying since I love those songs and I really want to find this kind of animes. So if you do know some, then just let me know so I can start my ideas, please. Thank you! :)

1) GTO or Initial D
2) The "Haruhi Dance" doesn't count I imagine so none that I can think of.
3) Le Portrait De Petit Cossette, haven't seen it but looks mysterious from the AMVs I've seen.
4) Full Moon Wo Sagashite
5) Full Metal Panic perhaps?
6) Sig is too big.

x2 on Haibane, it fits the description of what you want for #3 perfectly.

If you want to just use one source, I'd say to go with Final Fantasy VIII. The "angel" bit is kind of cheating, using Rinoa's wing prints on her back.

or you can just use sepatherothathakdfhjak i cant spell his name

1.) if youre willing to bend on "cars" to planes: Last Exile or Cowboy Bebop might work, motorcycles - Ah My Goddess

2.) Suzumiya (ending), Full Metal Panic (in one episode), Ah My Goddess (ish in one episode), Kodocha, (its either the opening or the ending), Hare+Guu (i think i remember seeing a dance in an amv), Angelic Layer (its how they practice so it comes up a couple times), Full Moon Wo Sagashite (i believe in an intro), Lucky Star (intro i think)...

3.) Kino's Journey (and the other ones mentioned in this thread)

4.) Haibane Renmei, Air (till she gets killed with arrows in the sky and stuff), Ah My Goddess (TV/OVA/Movie),

5.) Air - main character has HUGE blue eyes, and they live near the beach... theres an episode of Chobits where Chii goes "swimming" (more like sinking) with the dolphins... Oh My Goddess (ova) where Belldandy saves Kei from Drowning at the beach... plus she has blue eyes, and angel wings at one point...

1) Lupin III might have some value here. At the moment I'm thinking of Castle of Cagliostro in particular, but I'm sure there are other Lupin moments as well.
2) Utena came to mind for this one, particularly the ballroom scene.
3) Not sure what exactly you're going for as far as mysterious goes.. but these came to mind... Please Save My Earth was pretty abstract, though I'm not sure if visually so... Arjuna consists of the main character trying to find the truth through subtle veils of illusion... Perfect Blue keeps you guessing and in suspense and deals with some unstable frames of mind...
4) Besides what's been mentioned... nothing's really coming to mind...
5) One Piece is good for frequent ocean shots, heh...

Hope that helps.

1.) Initial D (about racecar driving).
2.) Princess Tutu (about ballet and fairy tales).
3.) Depending on what you're going for, Serial Experiments Lain, La Portrait de Petite Cossette, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (some parts of it, anyway XD;), and/or Petshop of Horrors might all work.
4.) I'm not sure if either Haibane Renmei or Earthian would work...
5.) Blue Submarine No.6 is a good choice, when it comes to this, I think. :3
Never think an anime doesn't exist, because you will be wrong. I learned this long ago. There are animes about tennis and baking bread, for pete's sake, and they're good. Also, though I forget the title of it, a Takarazuka Revue troupe in Victorian era fighting with giant robots. XDD;;;
