Simply fantastic editing and scene selection, the visual rhythm was truly something to behold. Fun/upbeat videos are definitely what you excel at, and this video exemplifies that. This gets a hearty   from me :D

I didn't know it disappointed you that much... Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed this one :D , thanks sky!

I think you can do anything though, and the fact your 2 awesome videos are upbeat is just a coincidence. Prove me right!
Greggus1 wrote:Hmm, I believe you when you say you put thought into this, but believe me, it just doesn't come across much.

This might cut it for somebody else, but I really expect better of you. I mean, I get really excited when you release something, because your talent jumps off the freaking screen, but this is completely wasted here. Not only do the anime and song seem a complete mismatch to start with for me, but you just don't work hard enough visually to match the mood of the audio, and I found myself completely uninterested.

Another major factor I'm pretty shocked no one has mentioned is the quality. It is BAD. I would really suggest you ask a pal for a proper MP4 encode, if your raw footage looks better than this. Heck, I'll do it.

Anyway, if I seem very harsh, it's only because I want to see you fullfill your potential, and because I really don't want you to take the generally positive response of this thread to heart. I mean, everybody's entitled to their opinion, and everybody has different standards, but you can do much, much better. Now make it happen
Did I do it? 8-) Sorries for beta stuff, you'll get the next one. And about that anything - I will give it a shot... sooner or later.
BasharOfTheAges wrote:Asside from the fact that it seemed a bit fuzzy in parts when it was fulscreened (i have a 1680x1050 20.1" display), It was pretty damned good.
That explains it. Well, this was my first time using multiple sources so I didn't want to play around with resolutions and I went with 'standard' 640x360, but I'll probably make it bigger next time. Thanks for the comments :)

Sacrificed for the sake of matching those beats... Thanks :) !

Thanks for commenting =)
Funky-kun wrote:Only thing I disliked : the random action FMA scenes in the first part felt out of place. Apart from that - r0x. Editing was great and the sources were correctly chosen.

Yeah, FMA parts have a bit different tone than the others, but I liked them and that's why I added them. Glad you enjoyed it :o !
JCD wrote:I liked the simplistic style you had in there, proves that you don't really need much more to make a good video to a song like this. Only thing I would nitpick is that some scenes lack contrast compared to others. Be careful to adjust that when working with different sources.

All in all, pretty nice job
Hmmm, I never had that on my mind, thanks for the advice JCD.

Great Lib Sync. Good Scenes. I envy you. You can make better stuff then me :)

I gave ya 5/5

Question: I saw last time the sequence of the dancing Spanish woman. Where you got it?
If you are talking about the part 1:19-1:26, then that's Fullmetal Alchemist the movie. Hope that's what you meant, and I'm glad you enjoyed it that much :)

Anyway,enough with the advertisement. :D :D

The amv was executed beautifully and the scenes used were pretty fitting apart from several FMA scenes which shouldn't have been there(most of them coming from FMA intros).Nice choice of anime(especially Kyoto Animation's stuff) and good synch.
I give it a 4,5/5 8-) 8-)

Once again, good job Marco!!Maybe upbeat/comedy/dance videos are really your style!!
No, seriously, Greek songs are like made for dance vids. There were a couple of them I was interested in using, too, but none of them was as good as 'Mambo'. And Helena pwns all!
Thank you Themis, I appreciate it :D !

I haven't felt like I needed any effects, but still I probably should start something more FX demanding. Glad you like it :)

VEGETA_LSSJ wrote:I don't like videos like this one...in other words I hardly download dance video, but this one is perfectly made in my opinion. I don't like it so much, but it have some nice feel and song is born for video like this...

That is my opinion, and despites of fact that I don't like dance AMVs I'll give you 5/5 if nothing else than for effort and the fact that you choose a song which is born for this what you've done, especially for those windy scenes where hair flies around :D
Thanks Vegeta, I appreciate it (hvala  )
WC Annihilus wrote:I think what I was looking for was not necessarily more clips and scenes, but rather more frame/camera movement.
Ah, I see. Hmmm, probably... But to be honest I haven't had that on my mind while editing :(

Thanks again for comments guys!

EDIT :
You know what?
This was fawking amazing!
Really wasnt expecting that after your last video...
No,I REALLY wasn't expecting it.
Wasn't expecting to like it either, because I'm kinda sick of this song, being a greek citizen.
But this is win!
And you got my weak spot - I can't say "cheesy effects" anymoar.
Opinion coming up tomorrow.
4/5 - Win!

my last comment wasnt saying that the video needed effects, but when i saw tha pic for the video i figured that it was using a lot of masking... that was part of the reason i downloaded it.. to my suprise it had none and it was very nicely done without them. just to clear that up...

If I'm not mistaken by the scene,it's from Full Metal Alchemist movie, the "Conqueror of Shamballa".

Hrm.... good dance video, seems you've finally settled down with your use of teh programme ^^;

I love the use of FMA and Air was a welcome adittion, but you lose a point because of Melcholy (sp) of Harui (sp) being in there. (personal preference).

As I said before, you're definately more suited to the faster paced amvs, ^^

4/5 because melchanoly (sp) is too overdone. ^^;

Hey ScorpionP, first off i'd like to congratulate you on making such an awesome AMV.

I've spent the past day listening/watching it. I showed it to 5 of my friends, and they all enjoyed it too (sorry they didn't download it since I gave it to them directly)

Eitherway, I love how you've managed to combine some interesting anime into the dance video, such as FMA (I know you were low on footage, but it still works)

The timing was excellent, and lip-syncing was superb (loved the Lucky Start sync)

5/5, looking forward to your next AMV!

You took some of the most overused scenes in the dance cathegory, and made it into sth that still feels fresh and nice. The flow of the vid was superb. There were hardly any breaks in the chains of scenes, and that's why it kept my attention fully. Really amusing, good dance video.

The only thing I would change are Azumanga parts. I would throw them out - they look a lot worse then other parts of the amv.

4.7/5
