The semantics of the word "epic" have long evolved since the 18th century . Language is a living organism which is why it changes so often. Epic today and epic in the Middle Ages is sth completely different, just like "nice" (did you know it meant a fool first? ) In metal music, an epic song is a long 8-10 minute story usually taken from good literature. I believe this is what people think when they refer to videos as epic. A long and superb editing achievement which doesn't bore you despite its length and always has something new to show in order to keep your attention. The Origonal Head Hunter wrote:Still waiting. The Origonal Head Hunter wrote:name me one video following that definition of epic.Merriam-Webster Online wrote:Main Entry: 2epic

Of course. I meant that people are posting up AMVs that they think are Epic and that's what it's all about.angelx03 wrote:fatandpowerful1 wrote:I'm glad how this thread is evolving nicely. Does anyone have any AMVs they plan to make epic? I figure I'll share my idea if/after someone else does.
Please tell me you read some of the sarcastic posts that completely flew off your head!
I can claim the title as being the first person on a-m-v.org to submit an AMV with the artist KJ-52 on it. Yay. Hahaha.
