The scripts aren't a feature of VirtualDub; they're how you use AVISynth.

Am I the only one who's really annoyed at the trend in the past year or two towards saying "quality" when what's meant is "visual quality"? Nobody seems to realize anymore that when they say a video has "poor quality", what they're saying is that the video is a bad video... which almost always isn't what they were trying to say.

.. to improve the quality in Virtual Dub you would need a lot of prep-work on the Videos long before encoding the final product.
.. yeah, it can be done but .. yeah, not knowing the Codec you are using can totally distroy any amount of Filtering that Virtual Dub might have cleared-up!
Almost any NLE editor/finisher can Optimize any codec when compared to Virtual Dub, and AviSynth can do a much better job with Video than any NLE editor/finisher.
.. Virtual Dub had its day of glory `years ago ... all we ever asked of it was to become a twin video line and tri-audio line editor and the creator would not do it .. let the old dog die .. AviSynth/TC is the new talk of the town
