Sequence exporting in Pro 2.0

Post by JediNight » Fri Aug 17, 2007 11:47 pm

I can't seem for the life of me to get Premiere to export anything less than the entire AMV. I set the In/Out for the work area in the Sequence and go to Export Movie, but no matter what I've tried it still does the entire thing.

I double checked with the Help file already and am doing it exactly like it says as well as a couple other variations.

Woops, posted too soon.

Meant to add that I've tried Huffyuv, Xvid (which entirely hangs for some reason), and ffdshow outputs, as well as setting the preferences for Work area or entire sequence. It all results in the same though.

Setting In/Out points on a sequence is not the same thing as adjusting the Work Area Bar -- could that be the problem?

(I assume you selected "Work Area Bar" instead of "Entire Movie" in the export settings...)

I tried both setting it to work area bar and entire movie during my troubleshooting, but still ran into the same issue.

Just to make sure we're thinking of the same thing: I selected the I/O points in both the Sequence window, and in the Timeline workbar and doing an export in both instances still did the entire thing.

i think your missing a step or something - but if you need a workaround you can just create a new sequence, add the old sequence you want to export into the new one and then just cut out the parts you dont need and export the new sequence. But i really think your missing a step.
