Freeware NLE with pitch editor

Post by live4eva_2 » Sun Aug 26, 2007 4:59 am

Hi...

I'm tired of using WMM(format support, speed, features suck).I'm looking for something easy-to-use but with controls to adjust video speed and video color(of clips).I'm not interested in adding effects and I'd like to be able to anchor my clips to the timeline. Support for a wider range of formats would be great too.Any suggestions....?

Actually now that I think about it....It would be better if I could adjust the speed of the clip by resizing it,without losing any of the actual content...

Note:I intend to use VirtualDub to de-interlace all my video and then compose the clips in the programs timeline.

Have you already checked out the Software Lists sticky at the top of this board?

=_=

It's either you try em and find what you like, or you don't.

We can't tell you what you like, we can only give suggestions.

And my personal suggestion is, Vegas. =P I was on WMM for a hell of a long time, and found Vegas was the most simplistic for me to figure out. Not to mention "The Idiots Guide to Vegas" kicks ass =P

.. I know what your looking for and they have not made Variable and Pitch controls for Video & Audio sense 1997. The Products, back then, were Compel, AiST's Media Mania, Asymetric's Video Producer 5.0 .. and most recently AiST's Extreme 4.0

.. The basic draw-back to those programs, of which I have all of them, were their Learning Curves .. "Expert and UP" -- AiST's Extreme 4.0 even let you design your own Transitions and Plug-In's.

.. The only programs that are still working, because they were designed for WorkStations, are the AiST ones; but that Company dropped off-line a while ago!
