It surprised me that I liked it mainly because I spent the majority of my time watching it with the mind set that I don't want to like it. |:<

I first saw an ADV preview of it and thought "Omfg that looks aboslutely retarded." Then I heard good things about it from Katie, and I fell in love with it when I finally watched. @_@

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, for obvious reasons.

One Piece. I started with the dub version, got into it, didn't like it much, but I kept watching. Eventually I started watching the undubbed version (from episode 1).........AND IT IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even the fillers are good. I've watched 285 episodes so far.

Kamichu. Top 10, almost top 5 anime for me out of nowhere. (Understand, I think Evangelion is a masterpiece so this kind of show isn't remotely close to the same experience)

I kinda misunderstood the purpose of this thread, and was trying to agree with someone else who mentioned the series.
