They both have completely different interfaces, which results in different styles of working. I have spent 10s of hours in vegas and I still can not get the hang of it. It feels horrible to me, while premiere feels quite intuitive. Try both and see what you like.

.. the Resampling switches are not a myth, they are also not available in Primiere anymore nor in Vegas.

.. In Magix Pro 12, Vivid 9, Pennicles 11 Pro, AiST Extreme 5.0 and Avid's Extreme Producer they re-time the Videos for you and Optimize the Frame-Rates for easier Editing ( they call it Real-Time Editing. )

.. the only time Primiere ever had anything close to that was in Primiere 5.0 with its "match Audio" to "Video Length" Switch. I believe they dropped that switch because no one knew what it was for >_< nor how to use it!
