Was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem.

Currently, i'm unable to view video images for some reason in Sony Vegas. All audio tracks from videos and songs show up but the actual videos don't and nothing comes up in the preview video except for sound.

Anyone know what the problem is?

Not too sure how to check since i'm new to all this. I did however follow some previous instruction to use VirtualDub to change the codec for XiVD codec which is what i've done with the clips i've got

Sorry to double post but also thoguht i'd mention that when I go to import media and highlight a video clip, in the information box below under the heading "Video" its states: Stream attributes could not (stops there).

You8 need to change the codec used. Get AVIC video codec changer and change it that way.

Do i need to do this for every clip I use or is there some option i can change in Vegas because i'm not sure whats involved but i if i have to change the codec for every single clips i use in Vegas it'll end up getting annoying. Just a couple of weeks ago my Vegas was working fine without the need for the AVIc video codec changer you mentioned.

You can edit the clips in virtualdubmod but it will take lot longer and with the AVIC codec changer it can change the codecs with a push of a button. Yes you have to do it for each sourse but if you want to use vegas u will have to since its picky

When you loop a region of the video, pressing Shift+B allots a predetermined amount of RAM to make the video run completely smoothly within that loop.
