wasnt all to thrilled about this video =/
all the effect you used kinda got annoying especially the wave effect you used in the beginning since I don't recall you using it again.
The video was pretty average and had nothing special to it that will make it stand out from the the other naruto videos
3/5

Re: New Vid...pwnsome
While I'm hardly about to start an argument over my opinion, you're the one making a Naruto/Sasuke video, so don't go around calling me a "noob". I wasn't "trying" to find all the crap that was wrong with your video. It wasn't very hard, and I've already explained why so I'm not going to go over that again. If you want to edit with Naruto, fine, go ahead, I'm not going to stop you and I think it's great that you're doing what you want and enjoy. But all the same if you go around the Announcement forum announcing a Naruto/Sasuke video, calling it "pwnsome", and expecting to hear nothing but rave reviews, you need a serious reality check.ExSphere wrote:uh huh...yea
it seems like you were tying your hardest to find any little thing and say its wrong.
I really dont care about what noobs think though. Naruto is one of the only anime's i like. and i'll continue editing with it for as long as i want.
I told you exactly what I think and if you can't handle constructive criticism that's not my problem.

.. hehe .. about time someone used newer footage from that series ^_^ .. òó
.. I like being updated on what has happened without watch it. I hate Naruto!
.. As for the AMV, very well constructed. Timing was way above Average. Audio Loud!
even if this is his first or latest, its still a 4/5 for overall quality and timing.
.. - 1/5 for too much sync. ( I've never said that about any AMV before, sorry. )

It's not just the anime. I have no affection or disdain for it; I haven't even seen Naruto. It's the fact that Naruto/Sasuke profiles are not only the most common Naruto videos on the .org, but quite possibly the most common videos on the .org, period. I have seen this concept attacked form so many angles it's sickening. This video did absolutely nothing new whatsoever in terms of concept - Naruto and Sasuke are now rivals, but they used to be best friends. I get it. When you've seen this done hundreds of times before, you get numb to the whole thing and watching the same thing over again is not fun at all. I don't care what kind of effects you use or how well you sync - if you do what's already been done millions of times and don't make me feel any differently about it, then why should I even bother?ExSphere wrote:><so>_>;;

Of course, I'm speaking strictly for me, but you have to realize that a lot of us are just tired of seeing the same exact thing rehashed just once more. I'm not saying your video is "bad" per se, because I see the potential for a lot of good things. You have timing down pretty well. You have mood sync down pretty well. But neither of those is enough to save this video from being just another rehash of something I got tired of months and months ago.
I'm sorry if I sounded like a jackass my first post, but it gets frustrating when someone claims that their video is awesome and it turns out to be just another face in the crowd of thousands.

just had to post for once.........
im in total agreement of Sky post about the video, tho your currently way too messy for me to enjoy watching a piece of your work so my rating is below what Sky put. (1/5)
P.S
<.< dont call people a noob here when you are one.

joey you shouldnt be asking him to cut him some slack seeing as this is the org, you have to exspect people to criticise his work and even more so for using a theme like naruto vs sasuke and calling Sky a noob o.O which made me completly lost on that fact.Vegeta119 wrote:Its his first vid on teh org dude, cut em' some slack =|
Its not that the anime destroys it for alot of people its the factor of your storyline (naruto vs sasuke), if you try coming up with your own that is basicaly decent you may end up getting less bad comments here.ExSphere wrote:><so>_>;;

from my point of view you over topped your editing, you missed beat sync by a few and its everywhere =/ its like one big mess, ye you have potental but everyone does.
to me it looked as if u were trying to sync every single piece of beat which big time fecked up in this video.
im not the type of person to post here so if u want a more detailed opinion you'll have to ask joey to send one from me.

Yo. Just got back from the hospital.
Recieved a seizure while watching the video.
Just kidding. It was alright, but while I'm a fan of syncing up beats and stuff like that..this was just insane..and not in a good way. Not to mention, dude, Naruto. I understand wanting to "get it out of your system," so I really can't say much there.

Got a lot of Thoughts about the Video and other people's opinions...
Of course I have to agree to the Overusedness of the Concept, everyone who says different lies, the same goes for naruto in general. It is good that you do what you like and you should keep on with it, but when you do a vid to an overused Concept or anime..or even song, you have to expect comments like this.
As for the comments about "Oversynching" of the Video...that just made go WTF?". I don't think a Vid can be oversynched in any way. I am not saying you always have to hit every beat, but There is nothing wrong with doing it. A Vid can work with less synch, but it's up to the editor however he wants to synch. Like I prefer heavy Beat synch and another Editor prefer simple mood synch, well thats up to the viewer, but saying a Vid is "oversynched" is just plain stupid.
I kinda have to agree with Sky on the FX though, they were just there, nothing that could make me go all wow-like, since those fx also seem to become basics. I've seen people adding FX like that to mostly RAW edited Videos a lot in last time, but I did not expected anything else, because your influences edit the same way.
Anyways, I felt like it would have been less intersting without them, because you also use bunch of em' to synch. Absolute Agreement to shino about The wave-effect though..why is it actually there? There was absolutely no point of using it onace and then just forgetting about it and never using it again. It did not bother me at all though, since its only 1 second.
Also NEVER be acting that way again. Don't praise your own Video. If you love ur own vid, then great, you did a good job. In the end everyone edits what he wants to and likes. If you don't like your own, then its a phail. But don't act cocky like that and call your own Vid pwnsome and call everyone who points out flaws a Noob (Especially someone like Sky who took his time to give you some goood, honest and constructive critizm). You should rather apprecicate than bash it. (though I'm ignoring the fact here that he sometimes seems to be extremly harsh and that I don't agree to him lots of times). There are people who have higher Standarts, you just have to life with it. Of course you can tell em' that you disagree, but just say thanks for the Opinion or sumthing and thats it. There is no Need to get deeper into it and start a flame war.
Anyways, I personally enjoyed watching this Video. I always find it refreshing to see decent edited naruto amv's, because there aren't too many.
Of course it has it's not perfect and has his flaws, but i still found it enjoyable. Good job, 3.5/5
But you sound like one. I agree that Visual Effects can do a lot for the Video, but I don't feel like they are necessary and everyone should decide for himself what kind of Editing he wants to do. If this is the Editing style he likes and which works good for him, then there is no need to change it and "learn more effects".ZetZu wrote:hmmm, It was pretty good, u need to lear more effects (not wanting to sound as a effect whore lol).
