seeking feedback - Anime Songwriting Workshop AMV contest

Hi,

I'm a professional music producer working in games, and I'm looking to get some kickass AMV's for an exciting new single about anime / games I recently produced. I've never held a contest or offered prizes before, so I'm wondering what types of incentives would motivate talented artists to create high quality work.

I'm not necessarily opposed to offering cash prises, but I need to be careful not to upset the big animation studios by promoting copyright infringement. I can certainly publicize video creators on my website. Please let me know if you are interested or have any feedback on how to do this well.

DVDs (Anime, considering the source ), computer-related software (or just new computers ), trophies (a LOT of people here do it for teh trophies ). And cash works, if you're careful with it.

Do you have a good connection to a music label? Promote theire stuff with CDs as prizes. Stuff like: getting 5 records of the label by own choice.

Stuff that says: "Yeah they can really need it because they use programs and media they bought and won something usefull now."
So stuff that goes away from the light: "Every hobby editor uses piratet suff."

Add a trailer category to the contest. Or make a contest about makeing an alternate trailer for the anime itself (useing the soundtrack of the anime, only the anime scenes...).
