  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Whoa! My god, I didn't expect this kind of replies :)

I though that:

will be more common way of thinking ;) I noticed it myself, that all these effects I used for making a "corrupted transmission" made my vid less aesthetic. But... that's what I wanted to make :D

Hmm... could you please extend this sentence? :)
I'm never sure if the stories I show are clear enough and it would be great to know what's missing for you :)

JCD, Funky-kun: Heheh, TB you say... I noticed that it became a new trend on the AMV scene ;) Who knows, maybe there will be separate category for this kind of vids soon ;)

Anyway, I'm really glad you like it! :)
I rly liek Pokemanz and so should you.

Holy sh- wow. I'm having trouble deciding between this video and your last one (because Kit's a jerk). This one is incredibly unique, and has an excellent flow. You capture the mood excellently. The video does drag a bit in the middle, but the ending - oh man, the ending sent chills down my spine. It's drop-dead creepy and brings the video full circle.

This is just pure win, 5/5

I hate it when I can't pick between an AMV and an anime.

I think it's a very important scene. I wanted to show that the guy got the meaning of the message, abandoned everything and went looking for the truth (and for the girl).

Very nice concept, even if people mixed up Pale Cocoon with almost everything now I really enjoyed this. The effects weren't anything extraordinary neither were the cuts but the source and especially the effects combined with the song create an awesome atmosphere. I really like this, even the cheesy texteffects.

Only one major complaint: you should've masked the actually HR footage into the Pale Cocoon consoles like most other editors did it, since the transitions aren't always that visible. ;)

I have only seen Nostromo's "Galaxy Bounce". Is that really so common? Damn... :P

It came to my mind. But:

a) I must admit that I'm lazy. I want things to be done in the easiest and fastest way possible. I hate doing frame-per-frame editing unless it's really necessary. That's why I put HR footage into console only one time at the end (and it was static scene with zoom, so I had to make only one mask).

b) Since the girl in Pale Cocoon looks quite similar to Rakka (especially when we can't see her eyes but only mouth and hair), I decided to leave the original footage.

Maybe there is some easy and fast way to do such things, e.g in AE, but I don't know them at the moment :P

Agreed. At the beginning I was a bit dissapointed that it goes the well known Pale Cocon cliché we already know from many vids.

The effects were fresh and I´m really happy that you seperated or generated the sound yourself to make two different soundcurves at the same time ;)

YES ^^ I think I have 5 or 6 vids on my harddrive with the same basic concept.
