Any idea which cartoon/anime is this?

Hi, I would like some help finding the name of a cartoon show which I used to watch more than 4 years ago. I believe it used to come on the original cartoon network during the time they used to play Swat Kats. Here's some detail I recall of the show:

""""" It was a robot cartoon in outer space. The robots were controlled by humans who were categorized as good and evil. The evil sided humans used to attack the good sided humans because there was some sort of power hidden inside their space ship. The good sided humans had a few main characters which included the hero who had the best robot and was in love with the princess of the space ship and his friends who were always there to protect him. One of his best friends joined the bad humans because they offered him a better rank/position and power and was always attacking the good humans in hope to beat the hero. This main villain was also some what in love with the princess and wanted to kidnap her.

Whenever the hero was in deep trouble during a fight and couldn't get out of it alive a mysterious robot which was much faster, stronger and self-run used to come out of the ship and help him out. Later down the show this mysterious robot gave the hero a small dagger/sword and asked him to use it when he needs help. So from there onwards whenever the hero needed help he used to pull out the dagger and the robot came to assist him. Later down the show the hero learns how to transform his body into this mysterious robot and how to control him at will. He also finds out that the robot was a part of his ship/space station and was the core of all the power and that's what the bad guys were seeking for."""

I know it's a bit long and boring to read that but I wanted to add all the vital info i remembered so that someone might recall what the name of that cartoon was.

Well, then you believe it not to be anime - so why would you not only post it on a anime-related forum, but in a section of said forum that has nothing to do with discussion of anime but rather the general discussion of AMVs as a whole?

That's because cartoon network has run anime series in past and still does.

I'm not a 100% sure it's a cartoon and I'm not a 100% sure it's anime either.

Sorry, misread, your blurb there at the beginning as "an original animation by cartoon network" - as in something they produced in-house. Still, general AMV isn't the place for the topic either way.

three years ago it was Camp Laslo, partners a Monkey ...
four years ago you had Totally Spies, Space Betty, and Ami Yami Yumi ( whatever ).
five years ago you had Yu-Gi-Oh!, hack/Twilights Bracelet and Powder Puff Girls.
.. are you sure it wasn't on Nick Kids TV ?? they were known back then for Silly Stuff like Samori Pizza Cats and Reboot ( which is what I think your describing here! )

There are 2 shows I can remember that remind of that. One I cannot remember the name of... Sorry, but I do remember that in that one Princess had pink hair and sounded like a man.

As for the other show it could possibly be.. maybe Battle of the Planets? (Gatchaman, G Force). Their names were Mark, Jason, Keyop, Tiny and Princess. I cannot believe I remembered their names.
