The story follows Haseo, at first depicted as a PKK (Player Killer Killer) known as the "Terror of Death", a former member of the disbanded Twilight Brigade guild.

He is seen seeking out a PK (Player Killer) known as Tri-Edge, whose victims supposedly are unable to return to The World after he PKs them. Haseo's friend, Shino, was attacked six months prior to the events of the game by Tri-Edge, and the player herself, Shino Nanao, was left in a coma.

Haseo encounters Azure Kite (believing him to be Tri-Edge and blaming him for what happened to Shino) but is hopelessly outmatched. Azure Kite easily defeats Haseo and Data Drains him, reducing his level from 133 to 1 and leaving him without any items, weapons, or member addresses. He is left with a mystery on his hands as to the nature of the Data Drain and why Azure Kite is in possession of such a skill.

Eventually Haseo gains the "Avatar" of Skeith. Acquiring the ability to call Skeith and wield his abilities, such as Data Drain. With Skeith augmenting his strength, Haseo begins the quest for a way to save Shino.

EDIT: what can I say? I'm VERY glad this is the first .hack//GU GMV I get to see, I think that people that don't know the game will not catch the story saddly, and I think I spoiled myself a lot here . But I really loved this GMV, I'm in a .hack//GU mood and watching this makes me want to go out right now to buy the other 2 games (loved Rebirth and I'm indeed planing in continuing the series).

OMG that was great. The only beef that I have with it (dunno if it was intentional) was the quality. Didnt really get what was going on even after your vid description but it seemed to go along very well.

Ah the video quality is naturally bright like that Lol thats the best i can look It looks the same way on my TV since i ripped the Ps2 disk to make this vid. Glad you enjoyed it though dude. Appreciate the input there bud.

zomg spoilers
good thing I've watched all of .hack//roots (cuz your description spoils the plot for the series)

The cutscenes/cinematics look intense, and that's what made it interesting...I might have to get the games now.

EDIT : Hehe i really like this one man, sync, flow it was all good. Every scene kept me interested in the vid [Even though i didnt understand some of them :O because ive never played the game], ill leave you an op sometime. good job man 4.5/5
