What anime goes with tool?
Okay, not just any tool song. This vid is meant to be a kind of gift to a special girl who really likes Aenima by tool. Can someone suggest a non-Eva anime to put to this song?
Nothing against Eva , I just want to be at least a little more original than using asuka's last stand, you know. Suggestions involving specific scenes would be the most apreciated

Hoo. I actually did a video to Tool's AEnema. My second vid, so it's not very polished, but I went for something a lot different than the standard action-treatment. (It's on Waldo's....wherever that is right now...) I still consider it my best work in concept, although it's got tech flaws all over the place.
Anyway, I used X (the prophetic dream scenes near the very beginning), Angel's Egg (WONDERFUL film, but way too "arty" for most anime fans), "Memories" (a few scenes from "Cannon Fodder", but most from "Magnetic Rose," especially where the child falls off the roof through the guy's arms), "Akira" (The scenes where the politician is having a heart attack and the revolutionary is staggering around having been gut-shot.), Ghost in the Shell (for some of the more spooky segments), and bits and pieces from Black Jack, Darkside Blues, Neo-Tokyo (hunt this down, it's got some really trippy pieces called "labryinth" that's sorta an "Alice in Wonderland on bad acid" aspect that are great for vids), Armitage III, Genocyber, and an intro bit from Blue Velvet.
Basically, I structured it so that it was surprisingly little action for all but the very end, just really DARK scenes matching all the lyrics. Your mileage may vary. Just a suggestion.

Als Gregor Samsa eines Morgens aus unruhigen Träumen erwachte, fand er sich in seinem Bett zu einem ungeheueren Ungeziefer verwandelt.

sorry, MJ, but out of the 18+ gigs of AMV's I have, 6% of them are eva and of those, 85% have asuka's last stand and 68% of those have nothing but that scene
As for the anime she likes: Vampire princess miyu, Vampire hunter d (bloodlust in particular) and hellsing. (see a theme here?) She also like some of the more mainstream ones (yes, i know those are mainstream too) like slayers, trigun and bebop. Latly, we've been watching Bastard.
Thnx guys.

Good anime for Tool
well Dragonball Z/GT and Neon Genesis Evangelion spring to mind when i think of Tool as a song base for AMV's. Really anything that has kickass action mixed with slow plot elements.
