so how much do u watch ur own amvs?

Post by prYzm » Fri Nov 02, 2007 2:14 am

ok so everyone loves amv's and theres always that new amv that comes out that u play over n over on ur comp. But im wondering, how often do u watch the amv's that you yourself have made? This doesnt include MEP's tho cause they are a catalogue of peoples work not just your own.

i find i watch my own amv's kinda seldom, ill go back every few months to watch it once but not a lot more than that.

as sad as it may sound i watch my own amvs quite a bit, to see where i can improve but also because i tend to make it in such a way where it just works for me.

I'm one of those people that can't stand looking at my own work. I'll be able to look at it until the opinions stop coming, but after that I just really see what could've been done better

More than any other AMVs, to be honest. Mind you, I always saw myself as the primary audience for my vids to begin with...
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Wait, other people make videos too?

I'll be damned.

I watch mine frequently for either one of two reasons.

A. It is a work I'm particularly proud of so I like to view my final products
B. It is a work that is particulary popular (either for awards or reviews/reactions) and I try and discern what it is about it that put it above stuff I thought was better so I can look for where I am a stronger editor.

So both for fun and for purposes of improving.

Unfortunately, I watch them too much during the making that I get sick of them very soon after the completion. To make things even worse, every time I do watch them they become more and more crappy :( .

I tend to watch certain little scenes a lot in the making, often just because they make me giggle.

I probably watched "Waka Laka (for Osaka)" a few times a week for a few weeks after I finished it, IIRC, because I found it just that addicting.

I only look at current projects when I´m forced to. You know... encoding and other stuff.

However after some time I watch my own stuff and enjoy it. My videos are made for my taste, that´s why I enjoy every release, even the first crappy ones with tons of mistakes in it xD
