Other Adult Swim news
Since CN has acquired the rights to Futurama, they're changing Adult Swim. It seems that the saturday night anime block is gonna be removed. Instead, Adult Swim will air every weeknight, replacing Toonami Midnight Run. It will have Inu Yasha and Cowboy Bebop on where the Midnight Run used to be, and then their regular Adult Swim shows (Futurama, Space Ghost, etc...)
Of course, this means that Mobile Suit GUndam will be airing incomplete YET AGAIN!

Goddess. In other words, people are going to have to stay up all night every weeknight to watch AS?
Well, there is always VCRs, too, but still.
Any word on if they are going to kill Oblongs, Home Movies etc.? Are they going to focus just on Sealab, ATHF, Brak, Harvey Birdman, and Space Ghost?
(Please kill Ripping Friends... please?)

I'm not too sure. I got the info from an article on Slahdot that someone linked from the Official AIC Anime English BBS in the Lounge section.

No, they aren't killing off the other shows. I wish I still had the link to the news page where they had the new scheduale, bit it seems that they will have a section called the lab in this new time slot where they are airing shows like Harvey Birdman, sealab, aqua teens, and the brak show. I dont think they are cancelling the other shows either, I'm pretty sure sundays will still have home movies, the ripping friends aka worst show ever, and maybe the oblongs...I'm not sure.
The big rumor is though that space ghost is gonna get the ax by January. Even though I got every episode on VCD I'm still kinda depressed by that. Space Ghost has a ton of boring, terrible episodes, but has so many more great ones. Not having it on the air kinda sucks in my book.
Another rumor I've read is that somewhere down the line they are going to get Ghost in the shell: stand alone complex. Even though I can't imagine this for a second, I think it would be awesome. I'm not a big fan of the dubbed work that has aired on CN, but hell, the more cutting edge, new anime on television the better.

cool. I think it's awesome they'll be showing Inu-yasha every night.
I haven't gotten to watch it yet since I'm not home on the weekends...
Rather cruel of them to air it so late at night though.
Sleep or Anime? Sleep or Anime? Drat it, they know our weaknesses!
I love home movies! They could use more episodes though.

What? Is this true? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I don't want to be tired everyday of my life! -.-; maybe I should just tape 'em all, despite the fact that I'll forget to watch them.. But when will this new schedual start? I wanna see Inu-Yasha so badly.
