First question: When I go to the pan/crop feature on some clips I accidently seemed to have switched it to this part where it says position/path/workplace. I can not for the life of me, despite clicking on every button I can find, get it to change back to the one where it says position/rotation/keyframe interpolation/source/workspace. I'm assuming there's an incredibly easy answer to this question, so I implore you to be patient and read the first paragraph I wrote.
someone else might be able to answer, but id require a screenshot to know what u mean. draw nice pretty circles if u can =D
Second question: No matter how much I move down the playback the clip does not seem to slow down/get longer. The clip I'm using is sort of a still clip though...so I suppose it could just be that Vegas slows the clip without making it longer? I'm used to WMM, so yeah...used to it getting double the length when you slow it down.
when u slow down videos in vegas it doesnt automatically lengthen them (or mine doesnt) the video slows down, so what u do is grab the right hand side of ur clip(on ur timeline) and drag it out. u know if ur repeating a clip because a little yellow triangle will appear on the top of the clip.

Third question: Okay, because I can't get the pan/crop thing to change back -_-; I haven't been able to fool around with the layering footage much. But what I have tried, I can't seem to figure out how to have the movies where I need them. I don't know if I just need to mess around with them more though, that's probably it.
not quite sure if this is what u mean, but to create a new layer go to the left hand side of ur timelines, there should be one(or more) lines of audio one(or more) lines of video, to create another one of either just right click in the empty space below ur tracks and go 'insert video track' this creates a new track that u can play around with for whatever u happen to need it for.

Yay, I taught myself how to put up images!

But here's a screenshot that applies to my first question (And I already got rid of the subs, don't worry about that):

As for the second question, thanks for the answer. :D

And my third question, I know how to make the layers. My problem is I want to make four screens on the one screen at once...like so:

...but I can't figure out how to do so.

Side note: Pictures by me, my brother, and two of my friends. You might find them entertaining. Drawn on messenger, so you can really appreciate their artistic beauty. Also, the one in the lower left is my brother's rendition of a cow.

Thanks so much!

and for the other one create 4 layers, pan them out till they are the size you want and place them where you want putting each video on each layer..

I'll make a cap if you need it.

Hmm, the picture isn't working. I tried changing the preset, but it wouldn't change either.

Yeah, a pic of what you mean about making them the right size would be very helpful, if it wouldn't be too much trouble.

Thanks!

answering both of ur questions, the pic shows how in the pan crop u can resize the image then move ur focus around i n the frame

the red circle on the image is aorund the mask/position. the one u want is ur 'position' the one u have by accident is 'mask' just select the right one.

You have to move the anchors with the character as it goes. So each frame keyed, you need to move around the anchors to stay with the character, It's a rather tedious task (moving masks) Whic his why I try to avoid it XD.
I know this is a quote from a long time ago, but it still applies for me.

I'm basicly having the same problem, I've masked every single frame with a new mask, and it looks fine until it's rendered, then it's like there's a weird delay, so do you mean I have to use the same mask, but just move it around somehow?
sorry I didn't understad you.

@viva - honestly it shouldnt matter, what nerd meant is that u can moove the anchors frame to frame to cut down on the time it takes to mask them. doing it from scratch or moving existing anchors will produce the same results however u feel comfortable doing it. (i still prefer to do all my masking in photoshop but not everyone does =D). u would have to be more specific with what ur problem is, cause the masking itself can be done multiple ways all to the same effect.
