AMVapp and Vista

When you install AMVapp it asks to run some tests afterwards. I couldn't do that because I got an error with the program that I suspect has something to do with me using Vista. Do those tests matter? Also, does Vista come with an ASPI layer?

The upshot of all that is that the tests won't work, but AVISynth still should.

Don't know about the ASPI layer.
