... whenever I try to render a track matte effect. I've tried turning off all other effects added to the clips and all other Premiere memory saving techniques (using only names for timeline clips ect...) but it fails to render at all. It starts and then I get a message saying it has encountered a problem and has to close. All I wanna do is matte a video into a video ;_;. I've tried creating multiple comps, closing all unnecessary processes in taskmanager and even closed all programs in my taskbar but nothing works. I have 2GB of RAM on my PC.
If it helps, I'm using the MidVid MJPEG codec for my previews (though I can't adjust the quality...) the clips render fine in After Effects, but it doesn't have any matte effects. The clips are encoded with VFAPI with all filters turned off except the IVTC and Cropping/Resizing.
Any Ideas?

I've always had problems with the direct AVS imports. Shall I go into detail of the constant crashes and 48 hour spent exporting 5 seconds of my video at a time because anything over that would make it go kaput WITH OUT ANY EFFECTS ADDED.
P.S. I used SetMemoryMax(). I stuck it as high as 124 and as low as 8 and almost every number in between.
I've found that using VFAPI is a little more stable for me... until I go an try to add effects to my video.

haha glad to see it's not just me Premiere pro screws up exports when using .avs I generally get to about 10 -20 seconds before it crashes and burns tho. (which has necessitated weeks or rework with lossless footage) I asked around on #amv and no one seemed to know why (in the end my script had nothing but an import comands in it -_- and still crashed but i had err a few track mattes)
I've found that it generally shits bricks when i render a track matte if my source isn't a lossless .avi
as to the actually 'why' it's mis behaving? no idea other than your system ran out of memory *shrugs* I'll let the premiere 'experts' talk about that, I only know what works for me on this program.
