C'mon! He wasn't that pretentious

This video didn't make much sense. If you really want to do something like this, do it with style 8-)

2/5.. But the visuals of the anime were pretty so 3/5

when making this video, I wanted to give two impressions to the viewer:
1- this video has been made in no more than 2 hours.
2- this video has been made sometime in the middle of the 90s.

I avoided adding effects to the video, and concentrated on the synchro and scenes choice, a word in mind: spontaneity.
imagine that you have found this video on an old scratched CD no one remembers where it comes from... do you like it?
imagine that you turn on your tv set one saturday morning and find this video being played... do you like it?
don't judge me, judge the video. I might have added nothing visible to the anime for this AMV... but it's there, and it makes sense to those who want it to make sense.

among a close circle of friends, this video has been given 5 stars... and 1 star....
such stars margin isn't conceivable for the majority of videos, while for this one, it is normal, positive, and even more, meant.
so, say whatever you want about it, give it any score you think is suitable, you're probably right.
a few people are supposed to apreciate this video, but since I'm one of these people, you won't mind letting me be a little pretentious...
thanks to those who are giving sincere constructive opinions about it. :)

Got it.

Hmmm
Let's see, to see it for first time is not bad, let me explain.
1 - In such a bizarre show, any instrumental song, specially piano or violin can fit the scenes or images pretty well, so i think it has no much value.
2 - Other thing is that your vid has no message, has no history. I'm sure (or not) that the film has an history or thing to talk about. Maybe... the only thing i can understand is that a man made of something i can't identify want to fly free and finishes in a jail on a train that ironically is flying through the sky.
3 - As you say, if i see this on saturday morning played on tv channel i will say "OMG", but it's because the conceptual art of the original film is some kind of attractive. So the only thing the amv tells me is: "You have see the fucking film!!"

Anyway, until today i haven't seen anyone trying to work with such a rare sources (Hypnerotomachia it was as this one), so for me you are a some kind of pioneer, that's for i give you:

6.9/10

PD: It's very normal to see 2 ways of thinking from people when they experiment or see something relatively new, so in this case you will not see much neutral comments.

to kentoshogun==>

1- I agree.
but still, you'll always have to make the song fit the images one way or another. you'll have to choose those images. you'll also have to put the images in the right order with the right cuts acording to your ideas...
I think they call this video editing... and I've heard it takes much time and effort...
I just wanted to remind you of this, 'cause you make it sound like you only have to put an instrumental soundtrack under some bizare footage to obtain a wonder.

2- if you see no messages, then I agree with you that there aren't any.
...even though there are rumors of people who may have actually found some messages on the video... but these are just rumors...

3- so if you press the "mute" button, and scrumble the scenes, for you it would make no difference, since the only thing that would trigger your "OMG" is the "conceptual art", right? .............. ok.

thank you for your detailed critic. and thanks for calling me "pioneer". it's a strong word that somehow I can't accept.
