What's so fun about editting what YOU Want in the video...

If it's any consoloation, me and my friends loved your track. ^_^ I really didn't notice anything wrong with it. I thought it was great. Ok, the Auron Keyblade got on my nerves, since I hate that design, but that was it.SacredArrow18 wrote:um yeah Oh Shi-mycathatesyou wrote:Oh shi-
x2I hope you guys know you did a great job, despite all the pretentious comments in here. It's nice to see a solid, well-edited MEP, and I'm sure everyone worked really hard. To be honest, I wish there was more anime that I like used in this, but the variety of editing styles still made the video fun to watch.
Kudos to you all
thanx. well we dont need to hear all this critisizing over and over and over again. its all faded away.CodeChrono wrote:If it's any consoloation, me and my friends loved your track. ^_^ I really didn't notice anything wrong with it. oh so actually syncing to a beat or deinterlacing is not an expectation people should have for a MEP of this sort:? .... That makes no sense what so ever. Granted there are many styles of sync but applying 1 correctly is better than not. It's good to see that people still cant take any form of feedback... there being a few exceptions . Perhaps you were expecting us to Bow down and worship each track or be completely "Wow'ed" by it? Well that obviously wasn't the case for some people and we are taking the time to type for hours and tell you why. I for one would prefer people to tell me where i went wrong and what to improve than to oohhh and aahhh salivating uncontrollably. Your reaction makes me wonder why anyone should even bother esp since there were no personal attacks made by either Prod or myself (although I'm a little disturbed that we said similar things... must be the burlyness).SacredArrow18 wrote:If everyone just sat down to satisfy your (as in any of you) expectations/critiques, then they would fail to satisfy others.
You can't please one party over the other.
You can't save one thing without sacrificing the other >>
and thanx Yoko, ur last post did make a really good point. and I second on that. even when u do sit down and satisfy all these peoples expectations/critques, will still have people that wont be satisfied with the results. So, pretty much u will still have people that wont be pleased. can never please anybody....

Er hem. I've read through this thread and I do think some people were being a little harsh on this, but that's just my opinion.
Even from the start, just the intro really pulls you into the whole thing. Although it starts off a bit slower than I expected, I really don't mind too much, it's a great showcase of each individual editor's skills and style.
It's been awhile since I've seen such a good collection of AMVs, and while ROS3 remainds my fav MEP, this one comes in a close second. You can see every editor has put a lot of effort into this, and I can't even imagine the hours spent working on all the effects and timing.
I really don't have anything bad to say about this, but I would like to point out my favorite tracks:
Batto! and Mamo had my favorites, I'm not sure if it was because of the song in their track, but it just suddenly burst with energy around this point.
I'm a Shana fan, so SacredArrow18's track definitely impressed me, I'm glad it was in there.
Kristyrat, Reigna & Aerialesque's tracks were awesome, I loved the style of them, it was quite refreshing.
Alex Daikou's track really appealed to me for some reason, I love it ^^
All the other editors had great tracks, but it was probably just due to me not loving the anime that I didn't get all ecstatic over it >.>
please tell me your joking :pJaddziaDax wrote:as for deinterlacing - all the filtering was left up to Deshi - I blame him for any and all quality errors :
