Avisynth Problem

Post by Dark-Krystal » Sat Dec 01, 2007 8:12 am

Hey Everyone. I hope I could explain my problem the best with my english level.
I recently bought a new Computer.

-ANTEC NEW SOLUTION NSK4480B - 380 W (NOIR/NOIR)
-AMD ATHLON-64 X2 5600+ (HT2000, AM2, 2X1.0M, VENTIL., BOITE)
-ASUS M2N-SLI DELUXE (NFORCE-570, AM2, DDR2, PCI-E)
-KINGSTON DIMM DDR2 - 1.0 GO PC6400 - 800 MHZ (X2)
-ASUS GEFORCE 8600 GTS - 256 MO DDR3, PCI-E, TV, DVI (SANS VENTIL.)
-MAXTOR 3.5 P - ATA-133/7200T - 160 GO (2MO)
-Hard Disk 120 Go 8 Mo MAXTOR 6Y120M0 7200 T/M SATA
-Hard Disk 120 Go MAXTOR 8 Mo ONETOUCH 2 IEEE 1394+USB 2 EXTERNE 7200 T/M Box
-SoundCard CREATIVE Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme Music Box

Softwares Installed:

- AMVapp 2.1
- Avisynth 2.57
- Satsuki Codec Pack (Actually it's more like the CCCPack, so just filters who decode videos)
- XVID latest version
- Windows XP Pro Version 2002 (32 Bits Version)

My totally unlogical problem:

My problem is simply that Avisynth doesn't work at all. For each script (scripts with just the line which allow to open a video via Vdumod)n Avisynth sends this message: "Avisynth Open Failure: Script Open Failed". Absolutely no explains about this error, I mean the sofware doesn't give me any specific Error (Like Error Line 2) and I absolutely don't understand why Avisynth doesn't work.
I hope someone can find a solution :P

If you need any other information, I will answer you.

Thanks in advance.

you should post what the solution was so that anyone else who has this problem can read the answer that worked for you.

Absolutely. It was just a conflict between AMVApp & Avisynth 2.57. I have Removed AMVapp, Avisynth 2.57, all my Filters included into the CCCPack (same thing for Satsuki Pack). And:

- Reboot of my computer.
- Avisynth 2.57 Setup.
- AMVapp Setup (But No Avisynth & Avisynth plugins & XVID & FFdshow)
- CCCPack setuped.
- Reboot.

My conflicts have disappeared :]. I know it appears like a stupid problem, but it was sometimes just like: "AVISYNTH NEVER WORKS ON YOUR COMPUTER".
