Changing video info....

Post by Cherry Blossom » Sun Dec 02, 2007 2:53 pm

I accidently marked the wrong anime for my new video and when I tried to change it, it said my request was denied. How can I change the video information without running into that and without deleting the video altogether? Or am I just impatient; how long does it take for it to change?

As long as the anime that you requested to change it to was actually anime, I don't think that their should of been a problem (I assume from what you're saying that you did request a change of locked information).

Resubmit the request?

Yeah, I resubmitted the request several times, but nothing has changed. Everytime I resubmit it the same screen just reloads and when I scroll down to the bottom and it lists all of my requests it just says that my request was denied.

Hmm. If it's just denying you as soon as you finish submitting a request, it would seem like something is broken, as it's not getting to us, then :(

My video premiered at a recent convention, but it wasn't in your system yet.

I PMed the contest organizer and he added the convention contest (ohayocon 2008) and when I went back to add that con to my video, the event was listed, but there was no checkbox available to add it.

Also, there is no option for requesting a change on locked information of conventions, just the premiere date and such.

if there is no checkbox on a convention then its because the coordinator has deemed the entries "closed" I'm not sure if the coordinator can re-open a contest after they have closed it or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if thats the story behind that one

So I should ask the coordinator to not make the contest closed? Or is this something beyond the functionality of the website?

No, a lot of contest organizers don't know how to work the page correctly - it happens quite frequently. I think they can fix it on their end. Having not entered con info myself i don't know if the system is overly confusing or if people just don't care to give it the necessary attention to do it correctly.
