Does anyone have a good Advent Children filtering script?
I've got the AMV all assembled and pretty and since it's CGI I understand that it won't get too much sharper, but I don't exactly know what filters would be good to use to make it more compressable.
Also, prolly a newb question but, do I run the finished AMV through virtualDubMod the same way I did with the DVD footage?

I could give you my script....
look here quality
but when I read that
1. Use DVDDecryptor for ripping your DVD
2. Use DGIndex for saving the .vob files within a .d2v file
3. Use AviSynth with the d2v file as source
4.1 So ima working with premiere, in premiere you have to get the AVS plugin, then you can import the .avs files directly
4.2 If you have vegas ---> then you have to make fake .avi files idk how you can do this since I use premiere
5. Edit your Video; fun partz
6. Export your Video as lossless
7.1 For making XviD i use Vdub.. I just import the lossless and save it as XviD
7.2 For making mp4 i'm using x264.exe; nerencaac.exe and mp4box.exe ----> If you come that far I can help you by then :O
All programms except the mp4 tools are included in the AMVApp
Hehe, I'll leave ya with that

look here quality
but when I read that
I think you are doing something awkward....Also, prolly a newb question but, do I run the finished AMV through virtualDubMod the same way I did with the DVD footage?

I'm done with step number 6. But I'm still not experienced with Vdub. According to A&E's guide it's a good idea to run it through some filters to make it more compressable. It mentions a lot of filters I just don't know which ones are the best for AC or how exactly to use them. Are they even that necessary? Like, do they increase the quality after compression or do they just make compression faster?Scott Green wrote:I could give you my script....

They increase or maintain quality while reducing file size. If the file-size is low enough you can afford to do a higher quality encode.PYTEEMEE wrote:I'm done with step number 6. Most people do - wouldn't want effect work (and even fades in some cases) to be hurt by the compression process. Doing it before hand doesn't make a difference in it helping at the end when you move files around losslessly while editing.Scott Green wrote:@BasharOfTheAges: lol I filter my stuff before editing <.<

Yeah, I plan to do that next time. I was going by A&E's guide and they have that step after the actual editing part. Also, I was comparing our videos and noticed that something was off in mine. As you can see in this picture the screens are not the same ratio. Will a script fix that? I really have no idea where I screwed up.
