I seem to be missing the resize calculator

Post by SilkAMV » Thu Dec 06, 2007 1:34 am

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but here goes. AMV resize calculator doesn't seem to be included in my AMVapp. All I've got in the support tools is AVIfrate. It doesn't help that every time I click the link in A&E's resize guide firefox crashes and I have to re-open it. This wouldn't have anything to do with me using Vista would it? (doubt it but I'm getting suspicious)

I just use the VDMod_Resize filter and then adjust the script accordingly:

For common resolutions, though, I simply have the ratios memorized for the most part.

I used Excel to make a spreadsheet with mod8/mod16 heights; to get the widths for whatever AR is pretty easy then. Takes 2 seconds if you're familiar with the program.
side note: I also use it as a bitrate calculator in case I want to fit a certain # anime episodes onto a disc. Excel is sweet! :D
