Vegas problem

Post by Sea Frost » Tue Dec 11, 2007 2:21 pm

I'm currently using a trial for Sony Vegas and have converted to Flv files into AVI. I can play the files fine but for some reason when i put them into the timeline on Vegas theres no sound only the video. Can anyone think why that is? i'm sure it played with sound before :?

never use flv files as your source... it makes Katie cry, and you don't want Katie to cry..

okay, let me explain more:

flv files are usually really low quality, yes you can make decent quality flv files, but most places you will get an flv file from are horridly low quality...

do you have any other sources? DVDs are usually one of the best sources, if you have dvds I can help you with ripping them...

don't ever take .flv They are usually fromsites like YouTube where youtube's video player itself makes the quality of uploaded videos worse. Other download .avi's or .wmv and bring them into VDM and encode them diffrently to a larger size.
