How do you make an animation in Photoshop?

Post by blink_sora » Fri Dec 14, 2007 1:36 am

Ok, so I finally bump into a problem :( I've just finished a banner and i've made 4 versions, which are not so different, they just have the snowflakes placed in some other place on the image... I want to make an animation of this 4 banners and I don't know how... I've been browsing the Photoshop Help Center for a while now, I've found something but not exactly what I want... So I thought I should get a little help from some more experimented users around here... Any idea on what shall I do? Thanks in advance! :D

im not gonna be 100% thorough with this explanation but you have to make an animation

For photoshop CS2

>go to window>make sure animation is checked
>there should be a window with a tab called animation on the screen
>include the 4 banners as different layers for your picture and create 4 frames in the animation window
>then just choose which layer to make visible for each separate frame
>then goto file>Save for Web>and save as a gif and you should have an animated banner

ImageReady is a bit more optimized for this if you want to give that a look.
